Comercializadora Columbia was founded in Mexico in 1991 to satisfy the country’s vegetable oil and imported wheat needs, eventually specializing in the grain and seeds industry.
In the last five years Columbia has become Mexico’s most relevant grain exporter, supplying three million metric tons of grain to destinations mainly in: Central America, South America and Africa. Columbia has also established itself as the leading supplier of the Mexican Federal Government over the last two decades.
We are currently active members of different trade associations nationally and worldwide: GAFTA, World Food Programme (WFP) APPAMEX, CANIMOLT, ANIAME, just to mention a few.
Our strategic geographic locations in Mexico and our great alliances with national and international companies, including important trading houses and logistics companies has allowed us to trade big volumes of different commodities in short periods of time.
