Started in 1968 with resources from the federal government and completed in 1970, the port terminal has a capacity to receive ships of more than 70 thousand gross registered tons.

Airport just 3.5 kilometers (5 minutes) from the Port: facilities for boarding and disembarking at the port as “origin-destination”, in addition to the fact that there are currently 8 regular lines and 74 charters that regularly arrive in Puerto Vallarta, thus reinforcing the facility for “origin-destination”.

Port reception capacity: 3 docking positions to serve the same number of cruise ships simultaneously: Two more anchoring positions and “tender” docks for the embarkation and disembarkation of their respective passengers. As well as a marina for sport fishing boats named Los Peines.
